Financing that suits you

Want to go on an adventure now, but prefer not to pay everything at once? We completely understand. Fortunately, there are several ways to realize your camper dream.

Personal loan with collateral
This option is a bit like a mortgage. You borrow the amount for your camper, pay it off monthly, and at the end, you are the full owner. No surprises, just certainty.

Entrepreneur? Then there are extra options.

Are you self-employed or do you have your own business? Then you can also choose:

  • Financial lease – You become the economic owner, with deductible costs.
  • Operational lease – The camper remains the property of the leasing company, you use it for a fixed monthly amount.

VAN-Jorn works with DTC Lease and cannot (and may not) provide advice on financial products.

Starting price with 33.3% down payment and 108-month term.

Calculation example

Purchase price: €92,000

Down payment / trade-in value: €30,600

Amount to be financed: €61,400

Repayment: in 108 monthly installments of approximately €780.-

This example is based on financing through DTC Lease B.V., a credit provider supervised by the AFM. The final terms may vary and depend on your personal situation. Make your own calculation on this webpage.

The delivery time for a modular camper is on average about 6 months. This time depends on how busy it is at the time of ordering and any delivery times for your new van.

No, you don’t have to be a truck driver to drive a somewhat heavier camper.

Up to a total weight of 3500kg (which includes the driver, passenger(s), dogs, cats, and luggage), you can simply head out across Europe with your B-license. If your camper exceeds 3500kg but stays under 4250kg, you are still allowed to drive an electric vehicle with your B-license in some countries—including the Netherlands. The list of countries where this is permitted is expanding rapidly. If you want to be able to cross borders everywhere without any hassle right now, you can obtain a special camper license. The so-called C1 license.

It all sounds complicated, but fortunately, it isn’t. The NKC has put together 2 lesson packages specifically for owners of heavier campers. You can get your C1 license in just 1 day starting from €1,295.

For more information, visit the NKC website or click here.

Are you driving the electric van for business, for example as a mobile office? Then you can drive up to 4250 kg with your B-license, within 100 km of your place of residence. Beyond that, you need a special certificate.

Choosing a vehicle with a maximum load of 4250 kg? Then a few things are different. For instance, in some cases, you must have a C1 license to drive the vehicle. And you are no longer allowed to drive 120 km/h. Well, you probably weren’t doing that in an electric vehicle anyway. Read more here about speed limits.

In some countries, a different toll is charged or tolls are collected differently for vehicles over 3500 kg.

In Germany, you don’t pay tolls for heavier campers. If you use the van for business there, you are subject to the Maut obligation.

In Austria, Denmark, Sweden, and Slovenia, you arrange toll payments via Easy Go.

In France, vehicles over 3500 kg fall into class 3.

Switzerland has a toll app called VIA instead of an annual vignette. You pay a daily rate.

In Italy and Spain, a higher toll class sometimes applies, but there are also sometimes discounts for electric vehicles. This varies by toll road operator.

In Norway, you don’t pay urban toll charges with an electric vehicle. Toll roads are automatically registered to your license plate and are between 50 and 100% cheaper for electric vehicles.

Factory campers are the standard in the camper world. They are made for ‘most people’ and are often very fully equipped. This often means they are mostly very cluttered. The build quality, atmosphere, and use of materials in standard campers often leave much to be desired. These campers are also usually quite expensive.

Used factory campers vary greatly in price but can be a good option. You then have a camper with a used interior, which often shows wear and tear and lacks the modern look you would want.

At VAN-Jorn, you design a unique interior yourself, specifically for your needs. The interior remains flexible and therefore fits every stage of life. In addition, you choose sustainable materials that stay beautiful for a long time. You can also configure a VAN-Jorn based on a used van, making it financially very attractive compared to a second-hand camper on the market.

Certainly! You are very welcome at our workshop and showroom in Groningen. Furthermore, you can also visit our Nefkens showroom in Den Bosch. In the course of 2025, we will also open a location in Germany. You can find all locations here.
